Headlight options

The GW250's headlight unit is somewhat unique. If you don't like it you can change it. Here are a couple of options.

First is converting the headlight from a simple H4 bulb to a projection type with angel eyes. This is very popular in China although I have yet to find a kit. Rather it seems you have to hack up the stock unit. But it does look cool and it supposedly provides better lighting.

Some of the guys in China do these in colors. I personally don't recommend that and it is illegal in the USA and Canada and I would assume other places too.

If you want a more traditional look why not mount a headlight from some other bike. Here is a photochop with the headlight from a JDM Honda CB400.

an issue with a projector style headlamp is when you lean into turns, you lose all the light you need to see through that turn.
Would be cool if bikes had adaptive headlights like BMW cars.

I really like the look of the angel eye, quite sci-fi. Still not sure how I feel about the CB400 photochop. I mean the GW250 is styled angular and modern, the round halogen just seems to set the design backwards...

I think that the traditional round headlight doesn't suit the GW250 very well. The first option looks cool though. I don't have a huge problem with what the stock headlight looks like but I would consider the first mod.

I like the round headlamp assembly.
it retains the original OEM look while making it look a bit retro, a unique look. good way to make your GW different from the rest

Found some more photchops

Can anybody identify the parts used? I think the first one is the new Z1000 from Kawasaki.

Considering most aftermarket projectors are from china.. not really that surprised

the headlight looks like it wouldn't be too hard to retrofit a decent sized projector in there

something i would def look into.

The round headlight is traditional but the GW250 is anything but that. Its design is distinctly modern so I just don't think it looks right. It might look better if mods were done to other parts of the bike as well. For starters I would change the mirrors. Maybe a round headlight that had a projector in it would look better too.
