Hi everyone,

I also have my eyes on this mod, but it will be a first, therefore I am looking for some feedback..
Has anyone tried this? Any complications?

Cheers!

It doesn't really look like the license plate is being displayed well though. Could you get a ticket for something like that?

YES! Some states are very particular about it. I know a couple have outlawed the LP being mounted to the side. In fact removing the rear fender is illegal by DOT standards{a manufacturer could not sell a bike like this} But I don't know of anyplace that enforces the rear fender as per DOT standards.

I personally would tilt the plate down more. It may not look as good or be as aerodynamic but it will prevent being pulled over. I would also make sure it is well illuminated and there is a rear reflector{it is illegal to not have a rear facing red reflector}.

The way MAVR3X did his is more like what I would do.
Journeyman likes this.

I think that the fender eliminator thing is illegal but most cops won't do anything unless something like the plate, or signals are not appropriately visible. That's why I'd be extra careful to make sure that they are. I don't want any trouble.
