Options to replace the ugly front fender

The Gw250 is a good design overall but there are a few details that just don't look right. Most are very minor such as the silver spear on the headlight or the silver side piece, easy to paint or cover with vinyl wrap. However the biggest and ugliest part of the GW is the front fender! It is odd, very large for any bike and poorly styled. I have been looking at some of the parts available in Japan and there are several replacement fenders!

First is a fairly small fender from the well known company of Kitaco. It is available in fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Next is one from a company called Coerce which is sold through dax.co.jp
This one is about the same size as the Kitaco but with much more aggressive styling. It is also available in fiberglass or carbon fiber. Note the page is a PDF and also shows a rear fender delete kit and a rear hugger type fender.

The last one is from Agras and again is available in either fiberglass or carbon fiber. They also have an aluminum top brace and you can get it with the fender or separately.

As you can see changing the front fender helps a LOT to make the GW250 look better.

Here are a couple of different angles with the Agras fender{also their pipe and other parts}.

As an added note the Agras fender is available already painted in the colors that are available in Japan.

The trick with all parts in Japan is finding a source. Many of these parts are made by small companies that don't ship outside of Japan. If anybody finds sources that sell these parts{or any others} please post them.

Why Suzuki made the fender so big is beyond me. The prototype shows a similar but smaller fender. Not the best looking but a lot better than the production one.

Right! It costs a little time if you have the skills to do it yourself. Even a kit is cheap if you have to go that route. I came across a Japanese blog where the owner did it.
