Please post your introductions here

Welcome to SuzukiGW250! We ask that you post an introduction about yourself, as it helps make the forum a much friendlier place. Many of you are new riders, so don't be shy and tell us as much, we can give you great information on the GW250 and share our riding experiences.

Thanks and welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum.
You should post some pictures of your new GW for us to see
Creating a thread dedicated to your bike and the build process, if you have plans to do modifications will be a good thing to do
It'll also keep this thread clutter-free.

new inazuma

Hi
I've been a biker since 1971 and have had bikes of all shapes and sizes during that time. Up to two weeks ago I owned a 650 bandit SA.
Due to increasing health problems I no longer felt safe or comfortable riding the bandit and decided to switch to a smaller and lighter bike.
I road tested several bikes, but settled on the inazuma 250 in the end because it suited me best.
I took delivery of it on Tuesday 10/12/13 with 2 miles on the clock, and due to the lousy British weather at this time it still has 2 miles on the clock as I sit and write this on the 15/12/13!

Simple really, I just put Suzuki GW250 into a search engine.
I suppose the bikes are all too new to have much wrong with them as yet, but i just wanted to see if there were any common problems I needed to look out for.

so far it seems like people in places like Japan and Taiwan have them, make sure to also search using it's Japanese name..

Garage
GW250 in GA!

Hello all... I've been waiting all year for the GW250 to make to the USA & I finally got mine last weekend! I rode it to the office today.
I've been on scooters for the past 4 years (Yamaha C3 & Piaggio BV250). This is my first motorcycle so changing gears is going to take a little getting used to after years of "twist & go" scooters.
I ordered the center stand from dealer at purchase of bike. I plan to add GIVI topcase, E21 topcases, & a windscreen in 2014.
I also plan to get some other colors of the gas tank side panels (silver first) to swap out from time to time for a different look.
***Note of frustration: The engine 'break in' period requires <5000 rpm for the first 500 miles. This limits you to 42-45 mph! I was backing up traffic even on the back roads :l It's going to be a bit frustrating for the first month on my GW.
