SWAT Model in China, WTF?

The idea of a 250cc police bike seems crazy to me. Then I read an article that says not only is there a police version (GW250J) in China but there is a specific model designed for SWAT teams (GW250J-H), it even comes in SWAT blue color... crazy just reached a whole new level!

You can read the full article here: http://en.haojue.com/public/showInfo_105_146_150_i18293.htm

And see pictures here:

Since when do any SWAT teams use motorcycles? Isnít the idea of a SWAT team as rapid response and quick deployment, so why would you want everyone arriving at slightly different times because their now riding or driving separate vehicles? Perhaps Chinese SWAT teams are comprised of only two people, rider and passanger. Either way, it seems completely ridiculous.

Yea a SWAT motorcycle does seem like a strange choice to me, but China seems like the kind of police state that would be able to find a use for it. Might be good at moving quickly through crowds of people instead of using a car.

I could see the Chinese using unmarked electric scooters. They use plain clothes cops which is pretty sketchy. Man, China is a crazy place.

Add Russia to that list

I think they are both just as crazy or Russia a bit more crazy than China.
