Any GTA GW250 Riders?

Just wondering if there are any fellow GW250 owners in the Greater Toronto Area?

I just bought a GW250F... But due to insurance differences between M1 and M2, I've got to wait to put it on the road until I can get my M2 at the end of the month. Looking forward to it. I had an '08 Ninja 250 for three years, then let my old M2 expire without ever getting my full M. What a mistake! But yeah, I'll be out and about on mine in Oshawa/Whitby by June.

Don't think you'll see many of them in Toronto, i've heard that Canadians and Americans are liking higher CC bikes more, which might explain why 300cc bikes and above have blow up a bit on the new bike market.

Are you still seeing a lot of 250's on the streets of Toronto?

Have you got a repair manual, like Haynes or Clymer?
Any poor experiences?

I'm looking to get a 250 for downtown commuting as well. I don't see the point of having a high cc bike when you spend the majority of your time in gridlock traffic. Just want something reliable and good on gas.

I bet if you go to some bikes meets odds are you will run into some or at least people that know other GW250 riders.
Too bad there's not a social riding APP for riders to connect with.

I've ridden since the spring trip home from Ottawa. Got lost trying to take a "short" cut. Took about three hours. I ride to Perth, to the St Lawrence River, and all over. I love this bike. Some times I wish it was bigger. Sometimes I forget it's small. Comfy, powerful enough, and since I dropped it a couple of times, I'm glad it's light. Re-learning to ride has been great fun. I wear a high visibility jacket and helmet, ride at speed limit, and conservatively. So cars are courteous. I did fit several high power, small magnets to the underside of the centre stand. That makes a HUGE difference if you're the first at the stop light. No more long waits forever.
