yea it has its purpose

a smaller fender might do its purpose without looking so dam big

but i would not remove it completely.

Yea maybe I won't take it off until I find a replacement. But I'll be keeping my eyes out for something to replace it. Has anyone found anything yet, or actually gone through with this mod?

I bought my agras fender from a Japanese online store called webike. Google them. Plenty of gear for the GW/GSR250.

I realize this is an old thread but since the topic of the front fender seems to be pertinent still I thought I would add my two cents. For those looking for a cheap option the stock front fender from a Suzuki GS 500 model year 2004 - 2009 is almost a direct bolt-on fit. They can be found on eBay for about $20 plus shipping and have the same look as most of the expensive Japanese aftermarket fenders. The only caveat is that you have to remove the bottom front fender mount from the front of each fork leg. If you're handy with a grinder it will take you about 15 minutes per leg and with a little well-placed gloss black paint you will never know they were there. The fork brace from the GS500 which is designed to fit that specific fender will actually even bolt onto the GW 250 forks as well if you enlarge the mounting holes by about an eighth of an inch. If you are handy this is a start to finish one hour project. Hopefully someone can use this information and please forgive me if I have posted this wrong somehow. I am new to this forum and really not much of an Internet guy. I just assumed there were other riders out there that could not stomach the hundred dollar plus price tag of all the aftermarket fenders. Lol.

I recently replaced my front fender with a fender off of a 2007 gs500f, I did have to grind off the old fender bracket from the forks which was easy, then some black paint to cover up, but it looks super good now, the original plate will fit but the two screws towards the rear of the plate will not fit on the new fender so you just secure it with the from screws but it’s pretty solid because it’s substantially smaller than the original.

One reason I bought my GW250F was, indeed, the wide fender. It's white, and any visibility aid at intersections is a good thing. Lots of flourescent green and other colours, so colour blind folks will see SOMEthing.
